PROTECTING ACCESS TO ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

EPA Environmental Information Conference Free to Public on Web

EPA's 2010 Environmental Information Symposium - which this year focuses on transparency and open government - will be accessible free to the public via the Internet.

According to a release, "EPA is pleased to announce that the 2010 Environmental Information Symposium will be accessible via the Internet. All plenary sessions will be available via live streaming (outside EPA) or via EPA’s IPTV (for EPA employees). You can also participate in Breakout Sessions via Webinar. See the Agenda for links to pre-register for specific sessions.

"EPA will use the social media tool Twitter during the Symposium to share information, thoughts and experiences with fellow attendees and with those who couldn't attend the Symposium. You can follow us at @EPAlive.

"We will use the hash tag #oei2010 to make it easier for everyone to follow related tweets. If you are new to Twitter, you can sign up and find other information about this tool at www.twitter.com/epagov or at www.twitter.com/epalive from May 11-13, 2010."

The 2010 Environmental Information Symposium - Enabling Environmental Protection Through Transparency & Open Government - will be May 10 - 14, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA.
